yea PS3 is has been ahead of 360 on Amazon for the past year or so, but when NPD releases Xbox 360 has a healthy lead over PS3.
The graphics are pretty impressive, I'm highly anticipating Forza 3 and it will be my first Forza game I've ever played! The detail is incredible.
I don't think anyone thinks that man. It's strategy, MS could have dropped the price long ago but they didn't need to. Sony has to though, and MS just reacts, this making it virtually impossible for PS3 to catch up.
This price move by MS is "defensive". The Xbox 360 Slim, Natal, Halo: Reach and big advertising campaign will be their "offensive" moves in 2010.
I think PS3 my still win by a little this Holiday season, and ofcourse it might not, but it will have more of a buzz because its actual new hardware.
But I think next year when MS announces the 360 Slim with Natal, Halo: Reach and their advertising that will be as big as when 360 launched...360 will have the full momentum next year, and Sony can't drop anymore for awhile after this one.
My situation is I've been a PS3 owner since 2007 and just got my Xbox 360 last December for Christmas. I've got to admit, I now prefer Xbox 360 as my "main console". I feel it has better online games(multiplats are better on XBL too IMO), better features to connect with people and make friends, better and many more RPG's, and there is a difference in game quality in multiplats.

You do realize Sony had to drop to 300$ first because they are so far in last place right? MS is just making sure they keep their edge. Do you think their just going to let Sony catch up? They've got more coming than this in 2010.
I think for now, MS is just trying to lessen any damage PS3 would cause leading into 2010, when they'll really drop their big cards. We'll have to see what happens. Smart move for now.

As a neutral user on N4G here is my honest observation.
Xbox 360 "fanboys" seem to not care about PS3, they might make fun of it and say something...but thats really it.

You believe Xbox 360 will only sell 60 million? lol It will be at what, almost 45 million by the end of 2009. Xbox 360 is basically relaunching next year with Natal, Halo, Mass Effect, Alan Wake, possibly Gears 3....it's going to be the biggest year in sales in the history of the Xbox brand.
Microsoft has also said it's keeping 360 out for about 10 years too now, what makes you believe Xbox 360 will only sell 60 million? It will pass 60 million by the end of 2010 probably, still ...
All the big franchises that win GOTY from different websites usually get GOTY releases, this is nothing new.
